Matsubara is Tatsumi’s long-suffering second-in-command. A lot of Giant Killing’s humor is centered on Macchan. He is short, fat, slow, expressive, easily controlled, easily irritated. For each day of the summer camp, Macchan wore an unusual costume, just because Tatsumi had told him to.
