Hiraga is the captain of the Osaka Gunners and is a defensive midfielder. He was the target of Tatsumi's strategy to conquer the midfield during ETU's game against the Gunners.

Player Performance

As a defensive midfielder, Hiraga has a wide area of defensive coverage. He also usually possesses enough stamina to last through an entire game. As the captain, he carries the Coach Dulfer's onto the field and thus cannot be switched out during the game.

Plot

During the game against ETU, Hiraga was forced to go up against the fast Tsubaki several times by Gino's deceptively inaccurate passes. After being forced to run throughout the game, his stamina was shot by the last 20 minutes of the game. However, he could not be switched out because of Coach Dulfer's philosophy of maintaining a consistent and successful strategy regardless of the opponent's strenghts/weaknesses. This resulted to giving ETU the entire midfield which Hiraga would usually cover.
